A reminder to renew hunting/trapping/fishing licenses today, Most states expire today, and most have internet renewal. It's good for various Fish and Game Departments if you renew early.

Yeah, here in Idaho, the trapping license is good all winter. On the other hand, the fishing and hunting licenses expire today.

Fishing is what ever day/month you buy them in for a yr.

For the old farts, check with your F&G about Sr citizen and veteran permits. NE offers fish-small game-trap with all stamps included for $5 per year. Can't beat that.

that is typically the day all shanties have to be off the ice 3/15 or 3/31

Thanks, Gulo. My trapping license is good for a bit longer still. I just buy the trap, hunt, and fishing papers at the start of the calendar year. Easier to keep track, that way.

I sure wish Alaska would align all of the game regs to fall under either the calendar year or regulatory year. That would sure simplify managing the tags, as I have permits and tags that expire under each.

Texas Hunting Season officially starts with the Sept dove season.

Licenses go on sale Aug 15th (or close) and are good from Sept 1-Aug 31 of the following year
