After many years of doing the fireworks demos for the bases, they don't hold much appeal to me anymore. I prefer peace and quiet in my old age - lol.

I bling out a gun form the house and she tries to eat it….
Can not shoot around her,,,, she wants to chance bullets…..

The problem is I have a big fence and gate and if you come in the yard he will have a peace of you. In less me or wife are outside Not scared of anything but gun fire and fireworks send him over the edge. I miss my lab but he would run around all night looking for ducks going nuts .

We always took are bird dogs to the gun range when I was a kid,,,,tied them to a bench until they got over it.
Dad would give some positive support,,,,, but not much…

Later year as I “try” to go up, I shoot at a lot of stuff out my front door naked sometimes,,,,, (for you 160,,,,think about that for your new year,,,,, may that image scar you,,,). (

Mag dumps starting at 10:30 last night, then fireworks at midnight.

I was gonna return fire at 0400....

I got over them years ago. Used to have fireworks displays here over the bay, our job was to patrol the no go safety line. The shock wave from the big ones would make your insides quiver, and the burning debris would drop on the boat. Not as much fun as you'd think!, lol

Any holidays people set them off, 4th of July sounds like a war zone for hours after dark.
I wish I had 1% of the money they spend !

Don’t really care for them .

Wife's dog she had when we meet at 16 loved to chase bottle rockets and catch them before they blew up. They would blow up in his mouth smoke would roll out and he would go after the next one. Typically tried to not let him get them I didn't think it was good for him but the wife's parents seemed to thin it was funny.:0

Myself I have never really been into them other than fire crackers as a kid. Now if it was legal to have I would love some more powerfull stuff for fun stump removal and if I knew what I was doing making cutting out a rock ledge possible. but I and have the good stuff and would not safety know what I was doing with it if I could so I just load bullets for my controlled explosion fun.

But now this thread has me wondering about using blow up target stuff to blow what's left of the maple tree that still on my shooting range. sucks it was my 200 yard marker.

I do not mind the fireworks it is the crowds of people I do not like!

Mexican neighbor across the street set off a bunch of mild fireworks, mostly of the sparkling variety. Everyone else within hearing distance did mag dumps. LOTS of them. I was expecting a few strays falling back to Earth to possibly rain on my roof, but no such luck.
In years past, I have heard a few mag dumps, but mostly just fireworks. Times that are a changing. MERICA!

I love watching fireworks. The louder and brighter the better!

Back in the 60's,70's here, it was common for people to shoot a few shotgun shells off to bring in the new year, Haven't heard that in a long time, but the fireworks are louder and more numerous than ever, and they're illegal here...
