When they dropped the anchor to try and slow the ship down, they most likely caused the bow to veer from the drag effect, either left or right depending on what side the anchor was deployed.
The pilot doesn't actually steer the vessel but gives orders to the steersman, like any captain would.

So sounds like a 50:50 mix of guys thinking terror attack and others willing to accept accident theory? But sill no official report as to causet?

I looked and last NTSB report I could find was in June. It said a couple breakers tripped. More to follow. As near as i can tell, nothing else followed. Story just went into a black hole......and stayed there.

As for it being a terror target........since the world didn't stop turning, maybe we never needed that bridge after all?

for the most part, I tend to shy away from conspiracy theories (although I don't trust .gov as far as I could throw the Brooklyn Bridge)...

but there has been almost NOTHING of note reported anywhere about that Vegas shooting.

Did anyone think to ask them anything deeper than what they had for breakfast or how they doin? Like what happened to cause the boat to hit the bridge? If so, what did they say?

I searched for the original video, that showed the ship looking like it was running Parrell to the bridge, and making a sharp right turn into the pillar.
It showed black smoke just as it turned hard right.
This video is chopped up , but shows a little of what happened before it hit the bridge.
