You may not realize this, Blaine, since it's sure to be a foreign concept to someone with as many liberal tendencies as you have, despite you continuously declaring your conservatism, but MOST conservatives are big fans of free market capitalism. And Musk is a perfect example of what free market capitalism can do for an individual that is willing to put in the work to make something of himself. Of course Musk is out to further enrich himself, aren't we all? Well, other than those on the left that are content to live life on the government teat.

I am no fan of government subsidies, but the problem is that they exist, not that Musk took advantage of available subsidies. If he didn't, someone else would, so why not him?

Moreover, if you were actually a conservative, you would also be aware that most of us fully support LEGAL immigration. I have no problem with Indian or even Chinese immigrants so long as they come here legally and follow the process required to become citizens. I do believe we should be selective about which immigrants we allow in, but it sounds as if the ones Musk is in support of are those that educated, not knuckle-dragging third world suicide bombers. It is also hard to argue with the concept that many Americans today are too lazy and dumb to do the jobs required in today's technology sector. If you could see the students enrolled in my classes at UMGC right now, you would understand.

I surmise your post was intended to paint a picture of Musk supporting things that Trump voters oppose, but, it actually did the exact opposite. So, thanks for pointing out that Musk truly does exhibit conservative values.
