Run it into your snair.

The tracks in the foreground are his.
There was a Raven and two Magpies pestering it in a sadle quartering behind and to the right of we're I'm standing and he loped right on up the trail into the set.
He attempted to jump the snair and was caught by the left front foot.

Saval, I saw the Raven circle him and as I got closer with the truck he must have picked up steam. He was on a run when he hit the snair. All I saw was him disappear in the Sage then bouncing in a circle.

Lovely... especially the first picture.

I thought a few days ago that might have happened to me. I kicked one up and it ran towards a snare I had but he took another route. Lol

Snowy,
I've got to witness several critters being caught in the 50 years I've been trapping.
The coolest one was a red fox watching me take a fox out of my trap by the head lights of my truck.
I was trapping for the live market. So I carried the fox to the truck. Then remade the set and returned to the truck.
The other fox was sitting on a Boulder maybe 15 yards up the road. I shut of the truck and he came to the set and started digging at the back. Then he moved to the trap side of the set and was digging at the bait with both paws. Then he stepped one on the pan and fox # 2 in the same set.

This is a picture from last winter. This spot is about 10 yards beyond the coyote in the picture.

I had a coyote jack a 30 inch stake with a single stake ring. Pulled the stake as I was approaching. Ran down the canyon 300 yards into a coyote snare. Felt like I won the lottery.

Praise the Lord and Pass the ammunition.

Very cool!

I was chasing a beaver with my boat in shallow water on the river once. He took to the bank and started running. He stepped in a set I had right where the water got deep. Only time I remember seeing something get caught. I was hoping to see him go down the rod but his momentum flipped him over a log so he didn’t go down drowning rod.

Those are great pictures. The second one is a classic.
