My grandson was in some sort of a tournament in Myrtle Beach yesterday and today. My daughter told me he came up 1 game short of making the final 4 and being on ESPN later tonight. He is paying his way through college by entering and placing in local tournaments.

My brother-in-law does a lot of local tournaments. Myself, only if there is a cold beverage in my hand and there isn't money involved haha

That's impressive that he can pay tuition that way! Must be a lot of tournaments with some pretty good payouts.

He is currently going to a Community College so the tuition isn't outrageous. Not sure what he won in 2024, my best guess would be at least five thousand, he also works part time at a Bass Pro store. He doesn't trap, but he is an avid fisherman. If he would have won this tournament I think the payout was pretty big..
