wife is proud a this new soup. its good she said.looks like the inside of a babies diaper to me. its literally liquid squash. tastes good but its just liquid. i suggested maybe adding a little hot sausage or kielbasa anything! luckily my backup is left over pork roast. i have learned after many years to secretly have a backup when she announces a new recipe. always

As bad as it looks, it tastes fantastic! Butternut squash soup is great, served with a grilled ham and cheese, even better! [Linked Image]

I like butternut squash soup with a little ginger root in there. My wife's version has a little carrot, onion and celery in there too after running it through a blender. The heavy cream or half and half is what really makes it good.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I think this is the recipe I used. I added a pinch of dried basil and used dried rosemary. Also, instead of transferring to a blender, I used a pot on the stove and an immersion blender after all the ingredients were added.
