lol. Just reread, and said you just barely bought it. So, you probably won't know. Any input from others with experience between the 2 models comparing gas mileage between a 6 cylinder Tacoma and the larger 8cyl Tundra?

Any input from others with experience between the 2 models comparing gas mileage between a 6 cylinder Tacoma and the larger 8cyl Tundra? My 2016 Tundra gets 16-17 at BEST. Pulling my camper or any trailer and expect 8-11mpg depending on wind and terrain. 2021 Tacoma 16-20.5mpg. It's my daily driver and use it for everything from checking traps to road trips. People don't buy Toyotas for gas mileage that's for sure.

People don't buy Toyotas for gas mileage that's for sure. That's true. My 2008 Tundra 5.7L didn't get very good gas mileage, 15-16 highway and less regular driving. A lot less when towing. My 2018 Tundra 5.7L gets about the same.

nice looking ride
some day I need to head south and find one of those rust free trucks even a lot of the 2016 around here already have rust
heard about a guy my wife works with a had a 2014 dodge rusted enough they put it on the lift for an oil change and set it back down , the frame flexed on the lift , it is done
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Looks nice. Don't appear to have been rode hard.
I am unaware of any 4wd that gets good gas mileage.
Plenty of leaves in my part of the world. Just no green ones or still on trees.

The 2018 tundra I bought last year lived it's entire life in Florida. There isn't a spot of rust on it anywhere. It got Fluid Filmed after I bought it and will annually now. Our roadways are currently white with saline, not snow.

My 2010 Tundra gets right at 20 on the highway and 17 around town. It has the 4.6 liter engine, and it two wheel drive My 2000 Tacoma gets around 18 on the road and 15 around town. Don't know about this 2016 Tundra yet, but I don't expect good mileage from the 5.7 liter engine.
