I only weigh the extra big ones. 72# is my personal best. It was caught under the ice. That was almost 30 years ago. I’ve caught multiple others at 68 and 69#. Only broke 70# that one time though…it was a hog!

70 pounds and a couple ounces. It was an ADC job and in a Hancock live trap in August. I was wearing chest waders and had to drag it a couple hundred yards to my car. I swear it weighed much more than that. The university of MN was doing a parasite study so they got it. And the city stopped losing landscape trees.

I fell on the floor laughing just now. I mumbled to myself "that's a sizeable beaver" and my wife was standing in the kitchen next to me, and she said "what did you just call me?" I'm dying lol

Had a 70 pounder a number of years ago. Got one two years ago that I believe was bigger but didn’t weigh it.

I caught three one day that all weighed between 60 and 63 pounds. I wasn't old enough to drive at the time and my mother was driving me to check my traps after school. I've never weighed one since. I may have caught a few that outweighed them by a pound or two, but not by much. There was an old guy here that got his picture in the paper about ten years ago with one that went over over 80 (I think 82) that is the only one out west here that I have heard of topping the 80# mark.

2 weeks ago I caught my 71.4lb PB. We pulled our traps before the river froze. That hut hasn't been messed with since then. Saturday I went back since there plenty of good ice. Previously there was some wading involved and a 400yd walk. It was a workout. This time it I could walk right to it easy. I set six 330's through the ice. 1st time I've ever done it. Totally just winging it from 330 Maniac's Videos on YouTube explaining how to do it. Anyway, The Swinging Suzie didn't hit but 2 of the 5 Coni's on the runs hit. 2 Tanks! Both over 60 for sure. I think one will beat my PB. We didn't have a scale handy so no weight yet. I'm gonna head over to the shop and weigh them here in bit. Maybe I'll figure out how to post pics.

Sadly No new PB for me. 65lbs on the one and 58lbs on the other. The big one had the biggest tail that either of us had ever seen. His lower teeth were also extremely Long. 3x his uppers. Not sure how he could even close his mouth or properly chew.

I a not a beaver trapper, but it seems that most want to celebrate weight. What are the largest measurements that some have harvested?
