gonna be making chili, 4 pounds of ground meat and 2.5 pounds of coarse ground chili meat. once i get it done on the stove top, going in my neighbors large smoker on 225 with pecan wood for about 2.5 hours or so. stir every 20 minutes at first, then several more times til i get the smokiness I am looking for. Cook for my elderly parents and one of my brothers, his wife and stepson. Thats why its a huge batch. wont be any heat in this though, my parents are 88 and that doesnt agree with the ole tummy to well at their age.

4 pounds of ground deer meet and 2.5 pounds of coarse ground beef chili meat. gonna make a huge pot of chili on the stove top, then heading over to my neighbors big smoker already up to temp at 225 with pecan wood. I cook for my 88 year old parents and my oldest brother and his wife and stepson. stepson is 41 and a downs syndrome kiddo. SIL going through treatments for myelofibrosis. this isnt spicy, my parents and SIL cant handle that with their ages and health issues. and two double batches of non sweetened cornbread.

It was a balmy 15 degrees here today so I fried chicken outside. Didn't want to stink up the house. Also baked bread today.
