Where do folks pay $24 to eat carp?

$14 for all you can eat cod here.

Many times. It’s less than 5 miles from my house. Was a sad day when they closed their doors permanently. Apparently no one can consistently get their hands on it now, as you can only get it “when available “; hence the ridiculous price hike

I’d have to be real hungry, and killed off all other game in the area prior to making a meal of common carp. But it is the best coon/mink pocket set bait going. Easily harvested and abundant, I will credit it for thatz

Muskrat, do you have a vendetta against carp in general or is it me? I love how the simplest threads on here always find a way to turn themselves into the college football or nfl threads on here.

No vendetta, sir. I'm just amazed anyone would pay that much to eat carp, that's all.

Keep it simple. Had enough ugly football watching the Packers stumble all over themselves yesterday.

As far as the best eating fish out there, well . . . each to his own, no difference to me, but as I alluded to, there should be no shortage of your best eating fish out there

That's all.

It is only the best eating fish because of the Tess family did it right and treated their customers right.
Joe Tess was an experience,,,,, not just going out to eat.

Surfside Club on the river was good also,,,,, but I believe all their fish were farmed….

Scored common carp fryed in cast iron pot is good. I always worked up them with a knife. Never had a machine even though. I have bought machine scored carp. Sucker are excellent done same way. The Asian carp has a different bone structure and when I got done we did not have enough meat to make it worthwhile so I used it for trapping bait. Would not have messed with but it jumped in my Alweld fishing boat and my grandson wanted to keep it. I got a picture somewhere. Fish was 1/2 as big as he was. Funny all these years everyone talks how good trout are. I had them every way possible and smoked is the only way I like them. Eaten concrete reared Missouri trout. Arkansas trout and give me a bluegill tail on only scaled. Fillet crappie or white bass. Fiddler sucker and many more. Love catching trout on a fly rod. Love catching them and keep a mess or two for my smoker but I just go to my list here and give the rest away have no problem with that have a waiting list. Not knocking anyone taste buds they are not for me. Love hearing most people like them. In fact I think everyone but me. Started trout in 60s and still fish for them to this day

I have never eaten carp, but it would be hard for me to believe they were better than Walleye or Yellow Perch. Pymatuning Reservior on the PA/OH line is loaded with carp and Walleye, can you guess which fish is the more pursued species? I have eaten Walleye in Quebec and they are tastier than Lake Erie Walleye hands down.
