Joe and I painfully pulled a good portion of our line today due to the incoming blizzard. I still have 5 of the existing traps set and Joe has 4. These are easily checked from a main road. I added one additional set todayUnder a bridge where bobcats travel. I am hoping the drift doesn't grow to 8 ft tall over my trap like last year!
While checking and pulling, I was able to connect on a coyote and we both picked up nice coons to skin.

Citiots. Most of them can't drive on dry pavement on a blue clear sky day. They can't help but venture out on a craptastic day. Might miss a bargain somewhere I guess.
Wow Danny thanks for sharing that. I’ve isn’t fun. Blowing snow here now. Not much on ground but wind is pushing the drifts and the east/west roads have some spots to be careful through. One lane only in couple spots near here. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
So we pulled most everything due to the storm but I did set one trap under a bridge. Cats will travel under a bridge but I doubt coyote do on a regular basis anyway. there was a small section of water on one side but it wasn’t flowing. the other side was higher and a had a ton of footprints. I leveled off a path near the edge where the dirt was higher and made a dirt hole set with an exposed pan MB650. I placed a cell camera on the set and hoped for the best. Last night while we were watching that awesome football game, i got a camera notification. I had a bobcat walk past my set but didn't work it. There was no visual appeal once the snow came. I learned that I should have had some flagging there to get his attention.
