It’s a ford. We aren’t a brand family. We have a Chevy truck, a Saab, a Toyota Camry and the ranger…and a Yamaha Kodiak!

I agree with you Dan. I don't like the snow or cold at all any more. I keep thinking about moving south maybe to Kentucky or Tennessee or North Carolina. The grand kids keep us here though. I don't mind the heat but the cold gets old fast.

Very similar to my love for mowing grass lol.

Does all that snow get cleared for free? It’s a huge part of the budget here!…..lol $ to be made.

Yep, same here, getting to old for it also. plowed for the highway Dept. & worked outside all my life, snow is not a problem unless you have to worry about moving it from other places than your driveway.

Key points about Juneau's climate:
Mild temperatures: Rarely drops below 20 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer.
Limited extreme heat: Seldom reaches above 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months.
Oceanic influence: The nearby Pacific Ocean helps regulate temperatures.

So, to sum it up. You get warm rain and cold rain for your seasons. But, it’s often windy to make up for the constant rain. grin

Yes, like roofs. Right now after I received 60” in one lake effect event that is what we are doing. Other places in my area received more, Camden , NY 65”, Stokes, Ny 72”, even the city of Rome, NY received over 48” . It’s the most snow we have received in one event since around 93 or 94.
It sucks, but it keeps undesirables from moving here, so other than snow it’s a good place to live

when it gets Cold , you need the cooler again to keep the beer warm enough to not freeze while your out.

I used to work church fish fries where we could keep the fish out of the cooler and beer in or it would go to slush , also needed to drink it fast enough to not slush up once you cracked it.

we had the tent to fry fish just outside the kitchen door it was slightly warmer in the tent with 4 commercial deep fryers

The winters here at the Ga-Fl line is our best time of the year for outdoor activities......unless you like laying on a beach.

I wish you'd send some of that my way, so I can get out on the lake with my snowmobile and go fishing. Our lakes are glare ice, not a drop of snow.

Squash, do the homes there have steep roofs to help shed snow?
I know in the Alps the mountain towns have steep roof chalets for the amount of snow they get...

Some do some don’t. I have painted steel, normally a few days of warm weather and it slides off. But no warm weather in the forecast so we shoveled most of it with snow scoops, can move tons of snow very fast with them. Code for rafters and trusses here are minimum 80lbs/ sq foot.

Last winter never had to shovel roofs.
