In the age range of mole and grumpa and rDfX. But a lady never tells her real age. LOL Trapped 1 season. 2 muskrats and 1 very large, very flat beaver. Not much a trapper myself but connected to the fur business in many other ways. She spent a lot of time at Mosco Hide and Fur.

I tip my hat to you Russ. Thanks for posting. Also good to see young people on board. Excluding Vinke who only thinks he's 11. Was he born on leap year ?

I have talked to lots of trappers in their 80s, surprising amount actually. A few in their 90s as well. Kinda inspirational actually. | | |

I am 68 but act 12, so I think it averages lower than 68. I still trap and I got pics last night of 2 coyotes visiting my old sets from earlier catches this year. So, I plan on popping some back in today.

Bobby turned 10 in September. He was gung ho for a short time with his own journal then hockey and hockey cards took over.

I’m 54. Just started trapping again last year after an almost 40 year break. Focus mostly on canine and cats with my short line around the house. Caught my first coyote, bobcat, beaver and otter last year.

I've mentioned this before, but I have always been mightily impressed with how long Daniel Boone remained a trapper. He was met rafting down the Missouri river (with a years worth of beaver plews he had trapped by himself on tributaries of the upper Missouri) by Astor's overland expedition to the Columbia. He was asked to join the expedition and at first got excited about the idea, but by morning decided he was probably better off to continue downstream to St Louis.
He had spent the winter in North Dakota with the Mandans and this was late spring of 1811. Daniel was 78 years old.
