Someone removed a spring from the Hawley and Norton No.3 - They would have came with 2 springs.

Im assuming the 3rd pic from the bottom is the trap you think says 35n - correct ? If so, you are reading the pan upside down - rotate it and read it from left to right as it should be read and it says No.3. There is a line under the zero that makes it look like a 5.

The wire trap in the first pic is a stop-thief trap made by Animal trap co.

Got a Hawley and Norton 1and a half at a thrift sale. Got it bolted to my fur shed door for a handle, and yes, they are very strong traps.

Most of your questions have been answered as far as ID. The traps appear to have little collector value. If they have the complete and correct swivel, chain and ring, that may be worth more than the trap.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Regardless of value, still some pretty cool traps. A great find!

My doctor suggested I start doing squats, so I moved all the beer to the bottom shelf of my fridge.
