I bring this up because I'm trapping about 200 acres of overgrown field that is bordered by a bunch of flooded out/abandoned mobile homes. Catch cats in the field but wondered if those abandoned homes might have become cat dens. Thanks for the replies. Might have.Also coons are attracted to those places as well.

I've seen where cats roamed in and out of old cabins,never saw where they stayed in them but I don't see why not

I was following a set of fresh lynx tracks in light new snow in Alaska while doing a late moose hunt. They led to a tree with a platform tree stand. I climbed up out of curiosity and sure enough I could see where the lynx had climbed up on the platform and sat down for a while right at the edge. I guess he recognized the value of a little elevation when hunting.
Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.
