Preferred setters for beaver body grip traps?

Trying to wrap my head around who uses what and why.

Absolutely love my RTS heavy duty setters. A heck of a lot easier when you lose your strength from arthritis in your hands, elbows, and shoulders!

You should always know how to set by hand or with a rope but the self locking setters or the caulking gun type setters are the way to go.

I quit using my hands when the arthritis got severe. I now use freedom brand setters but was going to buy a pair of locking ones from Coon Creek at the little valley convention this year to try

Here's the freedom brand [Linked Image]

Set it one handed with the saftey so you can flip it on with the same hand.

I set them by hand on the line, if I'm compressing the springs at home to make things faster on the line I use some sleepy creek setters I've had around as long as I can remember

Setting those big traps by hand can’t be good for you.I’ve been using bridger locking setters but they don’t very well on 1022s so I bought the caulk gun setter and it seems nice but kind of slow-like me.

Yep, I just find something fairly solid to push against, grab the spring and lean into it, then I can just hold it there with my thumb while I use my fingers to set the safety. Harder to explain than it is to do

Man, not sure I could do it with hands.
Will check out some of the setters.
I just watched a video of using a rope and that seems like an easy back up.
Thanks everyone!
