I slice them first and then put in batter, and then put the slice side down in hot bacon grease, yum

Sardines, yes. Chocolate covered crickets, yes. Perch eggs... Probably not. Can't knock it till you try it though

taste like fish, I brought them to work one time and told the guys what they were, all they heard was perch, they ate a bunch of them, and said they were great, until one guy said he never ate perch eggs, just goes to show you some people don't listen,

I find perch eggs to be closer in flavor to Ivory-Billed Woodpecker and Spotted Owl eggs, which can both be somewhat of a challenge to collect, unless you shoot the parents first.

That is how we fry them too. I go heavy on the seasoning salt and hot sauce

I've had perch and pike eggs. To be honest, I can take them or leave them.........

They are really good. Late winter and early spring they are the best and biggest.
