I slice them first and then put in batter, and then put the slice side down in hot bacon grease, yum

I’ve tried them, and really wanted to like them. Honestly I couldn’t swallow the first bite. Not sure if I was expecting something different or what, but I thought they were awful.

taste like fish, I brought them to work one time and told the guys what they were, all they heard was perch, they ate a bunch of them, and said they were great, until one guy said he never ate perch eggs, just goes to show you some people don't listen,

I find perch eggs to be closer in flavor to Ivory-Billed Woodpecker and Spotted Owl eggs, which can both be somewhat of a challenge to collect, unless you shoot the parents first.

I love them like that,,with some homemade cacktail sauce on them.Better than shrimp.

They are really good. Late winter and early spring they are the best and biggest.
