I always have made a huge point on that. They are also picking up a lot of yard work.

Told the wife to get good before and after pictures to post for advertising and we need to make them a business page and website.

they had just started on this one they told her 100 but gave them 100 each I think they said . And the calls keep coming in. But I really need to get then equipment so they can move faster. There are some seniors reaching out with little to no money. I want to be sure the boys don't get $ focused and take time to help others. I figured if they do some for those in need free that should do it. Just trying to decide how many free to each paid job.

Get names, addresses, and emails, so they can start a mailing list, give thank you's, and list services they'll do..Other jobs such as leaf raking, gutter cleaning, moving appliances, furniture, lots of jobs people can use a hand with...invest that money into tools that make jobs easier, or at least have ready replacements.

It's easy to assume these boys are going to build some kind of big business here. But they are just boys, so their interest in this is likely to wane and they'll move on to other interests.

Good for the boys. When we were 8-14 years old we would shovel all over town on weekends and after school. After that we got more permanent jobs on the farms

Maybe you ought to let them buy their own equipment with their own money as they build their snow removal empire. It's great that you want them to succeed, but nothing builds character (or a business) as doing something on your own.

I started mowing 2 yards in my neighborhood when I was a sophomore in highschool. I didn’t have a truck but my dad was generous enough to let me use his mower and the yards were close enough I could drive the mower back and forth. My first summer after graduation I had racked up 26 weekly yards and 7 of those were commercial properties. I still mow the 7 commercial properties 8 years later and doubt I ever quit. The money is just to good for a side hustle. It pays for 2 deer leases, a guided mule deer hunt in New Mexico and a family vacation every year. Along with anything else that I do for entertainment. Tell them to keep hammerin.

Teaching kids to work hard, with pride in doing it right and caring for their clients, is priceless. Good job mom and dad. This society needs so much more of this.

United we stand.
