Thanks for posting this Swamp Wolf, this will be an important meeting as it's closier to the bigger cities where most of the opposition is. Just happened to see it. It came over a news feed on my phone. Hope it all works to the trapper's benefit.

Thats good news. As folks here know you can see that cat walking pattern in snow driving. I saw cat tracks in IN 40 years ago. I dont doubt they were scarce back then but there was some. Good news. Seems like we dont get a lot of good trapping news anymore.

I was catching cats in Indiana and badgers many years ago when they weren't suppose to have many. I got a trail cam video this year with 4 bobcats in the frame. I'd say we have a few in the southern counties.

I'd say we have a few in the southern counties. Had one walk within 6 yards of me when I was sitting on the ground in Harrison croford state forest hunting with my youngest this year. seemed to come out of nowhere was there a minimum and then vanished walking behind a tree. Catch at least one in k9 sets on my farm each year youngestz had one under him on the farm this year deer hunting. Had another one under us in Clark state forest. They are all over the souther half of the state thick in Warrick, and pike Gibson county and have been for years. we see them every place we hunt and across the entire southern part of the state along I 64. Can't speak for the rest of the state but this 160 mile by 40 miles is basically my stomping ground. Sure would be nice to be able to do something with them and honestly they are geting thick so removing some would be good for game. Turkey have been going down as I have been seeing more bobcats.

Providence Farm, I used to trap in Corydon, Indiana on about 400 acres of bottom ground that ran along a creek. In- laws lived on 7 Springs Lake....back in the 90s. Had permission from Jearl and Patsy Eckert...great folks. Some of great memories in that pretty country. Yes it's a nice area. I drive about 50 minutes to hunt Harrison Crawford with the boys. Typically early season squirrel hunting and Youth deer and some early bow season there. They typically shoot 2 to 4 deer each year between the 2 of them down there. they have Also have taken some turkey there. BuT last year there were more turkey hunters than birds and deer population not at normal. My youngest shot 2 young deer but I also found 3 dead and assumed Ehd so didn't hunt there again after youth weekend this year. and comment submitted. for bobcat.

Now if Ohio could just get their head out of their rear. We could have a season. Already released 2 this season. Released my first one in 1973, was told then we didn’t have any:). Released my 2 nd one in 1991 with 3 witnesses, still said we didn’t have a large population, it was a wanderer from WV or PA. Anyone who has done any serious coyote trapping since 2000 has released multiple bobcats. But we don’t have enough for a season. lol!!!
