Just got a new caribou fleshing knife. How do you guys go about dulling the pushing side before I rip everything in my freezer? Been using my necker for almost twenty years and the pushing side was never close to being this sharp. The pushing edge is sharper than my cutting edge on my necker because I suck at sharpening stuff.

I just use the caribou for ultra sharp shaving stuff, and retain the necker for pushing.....

I like it the way it comes, if you get used to it, it takes less effort and pressure, beveled side down, and make sure you get all the burs off the fur or you will wish you had.

I agree. I had several brands before I got a Caribou. I used it for exclusively for beaver, coon, otter, and anything other than mink, rats, and possum.

We are living in a world where the intelligent must be quiet so that the no common sense people won't be offended.
