I did some experimenting and made a batch of ghost pepper chili. Let’s just say the heat far exceeded my expectations!! I think it would kill a normal man.

I dished up a bowl and ate it in front of my wife like nothing was wrong. I did my best to hide the sweat on my forehead and prayed that it wouldn’t burn a hole in my neck and leak down my shirt. I must have done good enough hiding it as she dished up a bowl for herself. Her first spoonful came out faster than it went in and her mouth was on fire! I got called names that the profanity filter won’t allow!

Anyway, I need to tame it down. Anyone have luck turning such an animal palatable? What did you use to tame it?

Yogurt and coconut milk would take some of the heat out, but I would not expect a miracle.

Peanut Butter helps a lot. Just keep moving it around in your mouth and the oils help to tame the burn down.

Aahhh man that’s funny! And the responses! Jam a handful of peanut butter in your mouth, get your wife to video it.

That should keep the septic system from freezing up for a while.

I have nothing clever to put here.

For future batches only put the pepper’s in for about 15 minutes then remove them, leave them in longer for more heat.

My ghost pepper jelly is NOT for the faint-of-heart!!!!!!
But I enjoy it in moderation
My favorite way is mixed with hot melted butter and shaken up with chicken wings.
A sweet - hot experience all in itself [Linked Image]

I bet that would be great glazed on meat on the grill. I use some spicy jelly for that very thing.

I've dehydrated and made my own ghost pepper chili powder. A teaspoon in a pot is good enough for me.

Nothing you do can change that chile. I come from where that was developed. I had some of that chile from the first batch they harvested. Throw it away and use less then an 1/8 of a teaspoon in your next batch they developed it so they could use less chile in big batches like 1k gallons of salsa.
