Is the price of gold going to increase,,,,,,?
  Or
Is the buying power of the dollar going to decrease,,,,?

I’m going too say the buying power of the dollar is going to decrease
  By how much???
  Yet to be determined,,,,

The price of gold stays pretty much the same. It's the dollar that goes up and down, with 36 Trillion of National debt I don't see how it could NOT continue to go up? Go to Yahoo Finance and look at the gold chart and see that since 2000 until now it's increased by (6) times, that's what inflation does. So the question is, do you think we'll see increased inflation.

As much as I would like to say that I think Trump can fix the economy, I rather doubt that anyone can really fix it unless they take similar actions like Atgentina did recently. Even then, our debt is so great.I think we will have to continue to borrow/print money to make the interest payments and take care of the annual budget. This will inevitably raise the price of gold, or you can look at it another way; It's better described as the value of the dollar decreasing. It's not so much that gold has gone up in value, but rather that the value of the dollar has declined.

One thing that is holding the price of gold down, is that the vast majority of the gold traded ,daily is non existent electronically traded gold. If the trading was soely limited to physical gold, the price would be much higher.

It'll go down. Gold goes up when the world is in turmoil. The world won't be in turmoil once Trump is in. Wait for it to bottom out and then invest! I dont think i would bet on turmoil stopping.

In my opinion they only way they can fix the debt problem is to hold the line on spending and grow the economy at say 4 percent plus.
