Cool history!
I went to an auction at a farm along the Platte river years ago. One of the grandkids told me their grandpa always said they would have lost the farm during the depression if they hadn’t lived on the river. Trapping, fishing and hunting saved the farm, in that order. Thought that was cool family history.
