Like many things, when I find something I like I tend to buy them in bulk. Like you, I like the long ones with the big head. I found some at a convention years ago and bought 10 boxes. I will never have to worry about running out again. Skeptical of that statement, Rob. I find that the more chit you have the more likely you are to misplace it!!

No such thing as a good aluminum pin anymore. Unless you still have some from the 80s! My thoughts exactly. The new "good" chinese ones look like an upside down question mark or lightning bolt after a few uses if the tip doesnt break off first. We cant even make a good push pin anymore its sad.

Moore push pins have been made in the USA since 1904 ..Never had many problems with them, but only use basswood fur forms.
Purchased my latest ones in 2017, but still have some from the 70's as well.

Thanks for all the advice folks, especially about the Moore, made-in-America brand. After much searching I finally found a place that had some of the old stock left and ordered four boxes of 100.
If they are the ones I think they are I'll probably order another four boxes. I should be set for a long while then.
Eh...wot?

Art supply houses carry them.

Art supply houses carry them. I bought 400 from an Art supply house last week, just checked tracking and it says they were delivered today. We'll see shortly if they are actually Moore brand!
Gotta live up to the nickname...

I looked at art supply houses online. When I'd click on most it would say "sold out." The others had the Chinese ones. I looked at a lot of sites.
Eh...wot?

I was getting a little worried because I ordered three days ago and didn't get a shipping notification yet. So I called this morning. The guy said their new website doesn't alway give a shipping notification and that they had been shipped, should soon be arriving. I ask if they were indeed the American-made Moore pins and he said they were. He said he had bought out another trapping supplier and had gotten a case of the old pins. He said he had about a half of case left. As soon as they arrive and I verify they are the old, American-made pins, I will probably buy the rest of his stock.
Eh...wot?
