The original tracks look canine. Here are the tracks of my 240 pound Kangal, Thor, for comparison.

Here is a cat track. A 20 pound cat's track can be hid under a snuff can. A bigger cat the track will show out from under the can.

Cats tend to have a roundish appearing track and toes almost never splay apart, tracks looks "tight". Cats have a more "w" shaped heel pad as well. Canines are more oval shaped and have the nails showing as was already mentioned.

Kangals are a very large breed of livestock guardian dog. They have the strongest average bite force of all dog breeds, 743 psi. That's 3 1/2 times the bite force of a pitbull and around 100 psi harder than an African lion.

In Turkey and the Caucus, male Kangals have to kill 2 wolves at once, before they are allowed to breed.

They are now used to protect livestock from wolves, bears, eagles, lions, cheetahs, leopards and more.

You're welcome to come see him if you're ever in the area. Some Kangals go well over 300 pounds. He's only middle size. The registries don't accept the larger ones in the US, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

neighbor has one to watch some chickens goats and sheep. my bird dog has made it his mission in life to give her some half setter puppies. She has not come in yet but he is eagerly waiting. I wonder if they will point coyotes.

AITA?

I apologize for calling Keith out on his dog, was uncalled for.
I’ll donate $240 ($1/#) to the T-man fund as penance. (If someone tells me where/how to do this)
Sorry, and best wishes to all.
