Does anyone, maybe many, use something like an Excel spread sheet to compute your Asc. Sales results on the fly? Having a column for green and dried beaver, castor and green and dried otters would have made our sale results look better last year.

We use Microsoft Access for our sales.

These are what the final sales reports look like when finished. We can produce on demand reports throughout the sale so we can have an idea on what the trend line is.

That’s what I’m looking for. I’d particularly like to see averages at lunch break and after lunch break on a sale.

You can probably do the same thing via Excel. Its just easier to do with Access. We've been told theres other programs out there specifically for auctions but i cant remember what the issues where with them.

Either way you want to go, setting up the initial setup for the grades, animals, sellers, buyers, takes a lot of work. Not something you want to do a few days before the sale.

Thank you. I’ve never used Access. I stumble around through Excel until I lose it 😁
