SEC, big baby 10, acc, none of all that matters anymore, Kaleb Downs would of been at Alabama in the old days, along with a bunch of other players that run off every season. So Oh State and any other team you want to mention anywhere now has SEC type players in them, some more than others. At the start of season i felt Oh State should win it all this year, they have all the piece's in place their only disability is that idiot coach they have. His job is safe now for another year. I doubt they win another one now for another decade.

I don't expect the leprechaun's to put up much of a fight. The SEC teams will be back don't worry, imagine they will just start scheduling cup cake games for the regular season so they can make it to the play offs, seems to work well for the yankee teams. Once there then we can see what they are made out of.

TX had a free ride this year and they blew it. But they showed how to schedule a easy path to the play off's.

My post shows the record since the college football championship series started, when teams played for an actual championship. When you are playing against top the teams in the nation a 3 and 2 record isn't too shabby. The SEC had a great run for the past 25 years. They had a down year this year, maybe they will bounce back in 2025.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

For a few on here it stands for CRYBABIES.

No one on here has ever disputed the great run that the SEC has had for the last 25 years. And even though one of those Crybyrds can't do math very well, the Sec has won well over the majority of those national championships. I think he has said 14. I think, without looking, that he is correct. That is truly awesome and Alabama's run with coach Saban is even more impressive. The Big 10 has won 3 not 2 as he has constantly said. Without looking my memory says 2023 season with Michigan, 2014 with Ohio State, and 2005??? with Ohio State. Might be wrong on the last one but it is in the early 2,000's.

It just gets old when every time an SEC team doesn't win the title, a few get on here and cut down the other team's accomplishments and cry all those excuses over and over and over and over again that can be seen in the above posts and other threads that have been on here since the playoffs began.

And yes, now will come the, well Ohio State blah blah blah, Notre Dame blah blah blah, the SEC blah blah blah, The Big 10 blah blah blah, etc. etc. etc.

Not real sure where all this comes from, comprehension is tough for yankee's i guess.

With my best crayon i'll try once again to lay it out, teams are cannibalizing other teams of great players! Some leave big 10 and head to ACC or SEC, SEC gets gutted of it's top players to Big 10, etc.

What ive tried to say over and over and over on this is it no longer matters what conference it is! Teams that historically were undersized for SEC teams are not on the same level as them! A Miami that's been dead and gone for decade's now is on the edge of getting a national championship as well! May well be the team to beat next year, not the Oh state's or Georgia's of the world. So spare me the SEC cult crap. SEC teams USE to be built different, is why they won so many games.

I don't see any conference dominating year after year anymore. But way things are rigged up now I am pretty sure you won't be seeing another SEC team playing for a championship again in the near future, you got your wish. Doesn't mean the two best teams ended up playing for it though, just the two less beat up teams did.

Upcoming championship game is just a formality, Oh state already has it won before the coin is even flipped. Notre Dame might be the 10th best team in the country and it will show when Oh state blows them out 42-14 or some other such lop sided score. Last nights game was your national championship game between TX and Oh State. Even though TX got there by not having a tough schedule, only tough team they had to play beat them both times!

jtrapper,

I could possibly see the SEC and the Big 10 dominating the championship going forward since both conferences have expanded and added teams that have been reasonably and consistently good for the most part. The ACC has a few decent teams and the Mountain West?? has a few but most of the traditional powerhouse teams are in the SEC and the Big 10 now.

There will still be years where there are a few surprise teams but unless some of these teams from other conferences get a rich backer like Oregon has with the Nike guy, they will find it tough to win the national championship.

I did read the other day that there are some changes being made to the NIL going forward ,which should help even things up a bit for the other teams.

I think Notre Dame will give OSU a tough game just like Texas did. I don't see it being a blowout and it wouldn't surprise me if Notre Dame wins.

Now stop eating those crayons. They are to be used in your coloring book.

I like the fact that jtrapper pointed out that Texas, an SEC team, didn't have a tough schedule. The only tough team (Georgia) they had to play until last night beat them both times. So an SEC team playing 9 games in the SEC didn't have a tough schedule. Imagine that !!!! We have heard on here numerous times how tough the SEC is and teams from other conferences wouldn't be able to compete. And then a team (Texas) joins the SEC and doesn't have a tough schedule. Who'd a thunk it !!!! LOL LOL LOL

It must have been part of the agreement to get them to move over to the sec. They somehow just managed to get the weakest links in the conference.

Ya'll are crazy. The SEC the Big 10 all of them have top teams in their conference then lower teams everyone beats up on, if you didn't notice that you haven't watched college football until this year cause you beloved teams not in the SEC team have FINALLY got somewhere bedside's the toilet bowl.

But yes Oh state is like Mi. was, 5 and 6 year senior's. Why i said at the start of season they should win the national championship. Somehow they still ended up nearly goofing it up by losing to beat down Mi.

Unless LSU or Ol Miss put something together next year i don't see a SEC team going anywhere. Alabama is now lost in the tall grass for the next decade and Ga. is going down the same trail.
