A few years ago someone mention there is a guy that uses a sharpened shovel to skin beavers. Does anyone know how this is done?

From what I've seen it's only used on the sides of the belly.

One of the clean skinning videos out there shows using a sharpened shoulder blade off a deer or other critter, which is basically like a shovel in shape. Think beaverpeeler posted it at one time or another.

I think your referring to using a garden trowel. It was sharpened on the inside edge
