You are a braver man than I am! Good luck and I hope it turns out. I would bet that Miss Nancy would have some tips on how to do it.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I've skinned several. As I'm sure you found out, they are surprisingly thin-skinned. Mine had way more holes than yours, to the point they weren't savable. I was planning on using Rittle's EZ-Tan products on mine like I do on all my home-tanned skins.
Eh...wot?

I haven't tanned any but I put them up when I get them ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-50687-243641-img_20230103_154451499.jpg) I have a lady that gives a good price for them. She is big into crafting If it doesn't turn out well you can sell the hairs to a local fly shop

Lol Boco!
That looks really good!
I caught one in a snare once. As I went to take the snare off its neck I instantly got poke by a quill that it had hiding guarding its neck. Was a little spike growing out of it. No way was I skinning it! Lol

I've stretched them round like beaver. Scraping is a challenge. I sold them dried between 35 and 45. The cleaned skulls for 35 and a buck for the claws. I haven't skinned one for probably 15 years or more. The meat makes a good stew.

wetdog what do you sell them$$$, how do they taste guys? haven eating one since i was a kid, The one in the picture I got $45 for. I leave them on the board for her she says they are easier to handle that way. I don't get near as much for the hair at the fly shops, my biggest payday at a fly shop was $25 and a handful of leaders I don't eat them, they are my go-to k-9 bait when I have it
