The lady is only hearing noises at night, which I am pretty confident are just the mice that I get pics of at night. Last pic of a squirrel was 2/3/25.

That odor issue may have something to do with the absence of Mr. Squirrel. For some darn reason I cannot locate his entrance point. I may have to use my cameras in a different way in order to pinpoint his entry hole. I am still befuddled that a squirrel would be this tricky to catch. The few that I have caught in the past have been easier. He has not shown himself for 22 days now -- perhaps he's gone for good?

If they’re reds they likely get in at the ground level , then crawl up through the walls to the attic. Any openings around the foundation or where the siding meets the sil plate? Corner trim pieces of vinyl siding are usually open

We are finally having a thaw after much snow...I'm hoping to be able to see more soon and find exactly where to ambush the little nuisance.

I think I've had 3 red squirrel jobs this past year where they just disappeared before I caught any. Sometimes they just leave. Patch what holes you can and hope for the best.

Corners and sill plate. Under decks. Look for rubs.

My go to for flying squirrels and red squirrels is a weasel box with black sunflower seed and squirrel past with a rat trap inside the box. I make the hole just a little bigger. I screw that rat trap down and make sure the trap is in the back of the box. You may get a trip now and then from mice.
