Sorry for your loss Sheepdog1...lost my Doxie about 1 year ago and it still hurts.

The only dog I lost as a kid was a dachshund. Her back went out probably from setting up begging my grandfather encourage. Grandparents took her to the vet to take car of it. It was rough I really loved that little dog. I never could figure out how she could cover so much ground so fast with those short legs.



Its the only bad part of having dogs is they don't live long enough. As heart breaking as it is I could never see not having at least one. They bring so much joy into our lives

I'm still dealing with the feeling of the house being empty from the loss of one of mine i had to put down this week. I feel for you. You gave her the best life possible and help her go out when it was time limited her amout of suffering and pro longed pain by helping her go out pain free. You know this but it still do make it any easier.

I sympathize. Lost my beagle in 2023 to kidney disease, He still wanted to eat but he was having little mini seizures and going neuro.
It’s ugly to watch.

Losing dogs sucks. We are on dog # 4 now, some times I wonder why I keep going back.

Of all the ugly things a warrior has seen and had to handle, it is the seemingly small things that hurt the most. You loved your little doggie.

I had the fun of babysitting a young weiner pup for a while. He was so cute and loved attention. He never barked. All he wanted was to be sitting with his peeps.

Your little doggie knew that you love him.
