Who has one or had one? I have a friend who has one for sale with a nikon scope and 175 rounds of 7mm08 for $550. It's been well taken care of.
Is it worth what he's asking? I know nothing about savage rifles. Did pull the trigger a couple of times and it seems to be very crisp.

Thanks for your input.

It's okay, they're $519 new at sportsman's warehouse. They're good rifles, I don't have the hunter model specifically, but I got the apex storm 110, it's the same rifle with a "stainless" (cerakote) finish. I bought one in .243 and 7mm-08 and I like them. They're not a fancy guns but they are definitely a step above the axis or the budget Remington's or mossbergs.

What scope does come with. His has a Nikon. It looked clear. Would be no more then 150 yard gun where I hunt.
Do like a 7mm08. Had one many years ago. I normally use a .308. Love short action rounds.

I'd say he's asking top dollar for that used gun. $450 would be about all I'd pay for it. Nikon scopes are not great if it's not top of the line and the ammo only helps the value if it shoots great and you like the style for your hunting preferences. [Linked Image]

Sounds good to me, 8 boxes of shells cost some to be added to it. I have the 30-06 in the 110 and it is a shooter......jk

Ammo price depends on the load and manufacturer. if it's brand your on the money. But the last Hornaday American whitetail I bought was under 22$ a box on sale I think likey from midway. have to add a little for shipping to but still a less expensive. hard to say without knowing who made it and what load it is.

Every 110 I have been around shot very well often better than more expensive rifles. it was a big improvement when they went to the acutriger.

I saw that ammo sale from midway. But after shipping and HAZMAT charge it wasn’t much of a sale. Not all caliber was 22 bucks

9 boxes of 7mm-08 is worth about $250 minimum. So you're paying $300 for the gun and scope. I personally like Nikon scopes. If I was closer I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

If It's actually a 110 Hunter, and not a trail hunter or hog hunter , it would retail about $ 200 more than those.Even the WALMART 110 hunter combe is $ 650.

There is no hazmat on loaded ammo only powder and primers. When I order I order enough to spread the shipping out/ and look for additional discount codes like free shipping or 10% if you spend 100 or more that steps up with the more you spend. Now I don't know what every cal was on sale but 7mm-08, 243, and 350 legend were I picked up several hundred of each. Basically buy it when it's cheap and stack it deep. Goes for components also for example they will fit 4 8lb jugs of powder in a box with one hazmat fee. So if I'm ordering that's how I order. Expensive yes but I'm also set for a very long time when I do. But most people are happy with 5 boxes or less I'm not one of those.

Current price is 31 small sale at 28. not going to get me excited now at that price but that average price Is closer to your 35 for the rest of the ammo.

Thanks for the comments. I told him it's sold. I have several months to get fimiliar with it and load development.
Given my old Remington a break. Plus I have 30/30's for load development as well. Best part, all off the back porch.
No packing up and fighting the crowds at the rifle range.

Thanks for.all your help.

I expect you will be happy with it. They are hard to beat on price and accuracy.
