Why not keep your excursion? With ethe prices now it seems a better idea to fix up what you have rather than buy a newer truck that you dont know anything about.

It's not going anywhere. but it has over 390k miles and with the motor rebuilds running 12 to 16 k I question how much I want to put into it. As of now it needs glow plugs and injectors, batteries and a caliper, 4x4 is not working and the old leather seats are falling apart . It's been about 200 k miles since I redid the front end completely and back then that was about 1900$. So I'm not sure just how much I want to put into it. Now the old f250 just needs glow plugs$125, batteries, tires and probably a few more thing from sitting and only geting started once every 6 months the last decade. but it's 2wd. I keep it because it's a standard and I wanted to teach the boys to drive a standard. But it will only take a few thousand to get it going. and it's only got 211k miles on it.

Right now the excursions is being used as a 9500 lb 18' object protecting the house since the house is very close to the road. anyone running off the road will hit it before parking in my living room.
