That's too close and rude Except on some NE farm ponds one year I never have done it. I also figured 10 feet was far enough. Its not like boat fishing. Your shack aint moving. your not casting. Now that I know if I ever go I wont make that mistake. Still think two idiots met that day. if somebody doesnt know proper etiquette, or doesnt care, trying to run him off aint exactly smart.

The guy was from Illinois. Not surprising. Those southerners come up here often and are rude and trash the places they go. Been going on for decades. Don’t put all the fish in the same basket. It depends what part of the state you're from.

10yds is 30ft
Just how far can you run a lure around under the ice through a 6" hole?
Guy that pulled a gun needs beating within an inch of his life and his running buddy could use a roughing up too
If you are that hot headed you will soon run into the wrong person and find yourself meeting Jesus 10 yards is only 10 paces.You NEVER set up that close ice fishing unless its with someone your actually fishing with,,,or someone you want to start a fight with.

depends who is asking what a F.I.B is your no good brother in law from Illinois , Friendly Illinois brotheren these guys on the ice fall under, expletive starting with F ending in king Illinois B word for a fatherless child. it is basically the midwest version of a Mass-hole

To all the fibs out there I have one question. Don't you have lakes in Illinois??? You come up here to the north and rape our lakes,buy up all the property's and stay for 2weeks a year and act like we owe you the service! Take a ride down the Wolf river during the white bass run. Its literally boat to boat along both shores! Look at the registration stickers....... yep Fibs. If you find a quiet spot, gaurentee some stupid fib will literally start casting into your boat!!!! Had it happen more times than you can imagine. All this over some rough fish that aren't that tasty anyways. Not they are gonna start pulling guns??? Wonder if he was even here legally??? I could go on but rant over for today. I have the same questions for everyone in the L48 who comes vacationing here.
