I thought boating accidents with guns only happen in Canada, you’re in the land of the free. You got a weapons prohib or something?….lol
Got a beauty Bersa Thunder stainless with rosewood grips, which doesn’t leave the safe of course. The a scattering of single shots, bolts & semis. A Trumbone is in the future though.

A few years ago I went on a buying spree of .22s I remembered from my youth. I got all but one lever gun that I was remembered, Nylons, some autos and some bolts. The Grandkids sure appreciated it.

When I removed the barrel from my old savage 62 to clean the inside of the action after 26 years I noticed some ware on the trigger parts. I have a feeling if it gets shot like it used to it will be getting retired if I can't find replacements. But since it only get shot a little probably under a few hundred times a year on the high side these days it will probably last the rest of my life. Especially since I have others that stressed out the use. I just really like that cheap gun because it's light, thin and accurate. It's beat to crap has no blueing left on the barrel broken front sight and chunk missing from the butt plate. But it's my preferred go to gun. Remove the vx3 I from it and it'll you would be hard pressed to get 25 to 50$ for it.. heck I paid a sales price of $89 when I bought it new.

Since the cleaning it back to flawless function. I have much nicer .22lrs but this cheap beat up thing is some how my favorite. Anyone else have a favorite that's nothing special?

Have a marlin M1 semi, was cheap to buy back when, I sent a lot of rounds through it, no bluing left, and it started misfiring several years ago... too many just clicks so I stuck it away...last week I was thinking about it as I was cleaning up a few guns anyway.

Stripped it down and soaked the firing pin channel with brake clean, cleaned up the internals and tried it out with some older Winchester Wildcats I had. Went bang every time! so maybe it's fixed, didn't try it with the other bulk crap I had so maybe it's not , or is the ammo...but for now, all is well in the world, lol

I have two of them. The Ruger 10/22 resides with mt son in Wisconsin because of the large capacity mags I have for them are illegal here.

The Winchester model 62A my dad bought in the late 1940’s is here with me. It shoots shorts, longs and long rifle, is a takedown and I installed a marble peep sight on it a few years back when my close up eyesight was failing.
