Irish Catholic-cant get more Christian than that.
Some pray their Angelus 3 times a day.And meditating on Christs Passion on fridays.

The Bible should be read literarily rather than literally. It is an immensely complex and profound work of literature that tells the Truth even when its (very ancient) view of the facts fails to live up to our (very modern) understanding of what it means to be true/accurate. Maybe that's a can of worms. Just saying I agree.
