It's incredibly stupid for a state to ban a cooking utensil. But also, PFAS, and micro plastics ain't good for you, and stay in you forever. Every single person in the developed world has both PFAS and micro plastics throughout their bodies. Interesting thing.....several studies have been done that show PFAS and micro plastics in the semen samples of every single man tested.

When you look at an old non-stick pan and see all that stuff scratched off.....you ate that. It's inside you.

"Blackwater" and I had a chat in Suffolk, VA around 2007 or so. They knew more about me than I did. It was a little unnerving actually.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I bought and still have the stainless pans from 2013 for that reason. They work well. My suggestion would be for everyone to change to stainless and olive oil / avocado oil. Avocado oil doesn't burn as easily.

I usually tell everyone with non stick pans to look at their pan and to see the flakes that are missing and then point out that they most likely consumed those flakes.

Sometimes things stick. All you do is just put some water in the pan and let it on the stove simmering while you eat, then everything just wipes out.

Easy peasy and no Dupont Teflon flakes in my belly. Watch the movie Dark Waters.

I switched from cast to carbon steel, seasons almost like cast, and is half the weight, which is important as your body wears out, lol , more stick free than stainless, basically what every restaurant uses.

Also, if you want to keep cast iron and have it non-stick, there's always enamel coated cast. I have a 2 quart one and its fantastic for rice.

Wife's new favorite and geting the most use the last year is a 15" lodge cast iron. Most every we use Is cast, cast pizza pan cast bread pans ect. some glass baking pans and some stainless pots and pans. Now I just checked and some of the stamped baking stuff I got the wife for x mass( kids picked out) I thought we're enamel are infact a nonstick coated thing. So they can go back or just have parchment paper put over it as a stop gap. I goofed when I bought them.

The electric grill at mom's is non stick. but for the most part we attempt to avoid it.

They are very good pans, I have one that my mom used for pancakes, there were 12 waiting to eat for breakfast, so it's a large pan.
Would hate to try and lift it if were cast iron.
I have way to much cast iron, buy it when I see the good brands on market place.
They say you can wash it, but I never do, just wipe it clean on the inside, and sometimes wash the outside with water and a little dish soap.
The outside of some that I've bought are thick with very hard baked on grease or oil.
Pain to get that off.

Before Teflon was an everyday product, a wire factory in my hometown was using it to make high temp wire for NASA. The Teflon powder came in metal cans and was labled as poisonous and had a skull and crossbones on the label.
