The main question I have is how many people stake their snares down like you would a trap. If so do you have issues with chew outs. It seems with me the lower I anchor the percentage goes up. I use 5\64 1x19 cable for coyote.

We can not by law attach a drag to a snare. All mine are anchored solid. Entanglement is all that will stop your chewouts with that snare. Your other options would be to use a different snare that will kill when they hit the end of it after a short run, or if you have to keep them alive with cr’s then you need a way more chew-proof cable like 1x19 3/32.

I really don't want to go to heavier 3/32 cable. It works but it doesn't tightening like 5/64 cable. There is some places I use it but not much.
