Is some this size and some not? Got the hagz brackets that are suppose to fit 1/2 rebar but hole isn't big enough for most of the rebar i have. All of it is supposed to be 1/2 inch!

Sometimes rebar is kinda oval shaped, which will throw off a hole.

Auger out the brackets a little with a drill bit. And next time get 3/8 rod, the lock will catch either way if it's a drowning setup. If it's a stabilizer situation, disregard the 3/8 rod.

I like rebar stakes for trapping. Have made quite a few. I put a 5/8 nut on then weld it. Sometimes you have to beat the snot out of one to get it on and sometimes I have to put a vice grip under it to hold the nut in place for welding. The hole in the nut I am sure is always the same size no matter brand. Rebar sizing is not as accurate has been my experience.

Nah Mac, ive never used these sticks, was going to cut them down to 2 ft. and make trap stakes out of them but never got around to it. No telling how old these sticks are so who knows.

Rebar sizing is not as accurate has been my experience.

Thanks, that what i was wondering. Guess i'll get the drill bit out and try to wallow out the hole in the stabilizer's so the rebar will fit through it.

Make sure you clamp them down good before you try wallow them out. Don't go wrapping your fingers up in that mess.

Bought some from one of the big trap suppliers. Egg shape and dont remember what it measured but was way over 1/2". Caused much grief and still does. Should have thrown away.
