There is some sort of live video on FB of a trappers meeting at the ITA sale. Can’t get the audio to work but Rusty is talking.

And beaverpeeler is sitting in the front row!! Carl - what is with all that grey hair??? You’ve gotten old. Still a good looking dude!!

The demand for garment beaver is high here locally.
I am sold out of tanned beaver now and will have to purchase some to keep customers happy until the next load comes in from the tannery.
This is the first time I have run out between shipments from the tannery.

No need to trap more,I got 3 freezers full of beaver pelts to go out this year, just have to send more to the tannery and less to the auction with the increase in demand locally.A bit of juggling involved when matching supply and demand in different markets

Quite a bit less fur this year on the sale. I think the low coyote prices are finally coming home to roost. We will find out tomorrow how it all plays out. Rusty was going to try to get the bid sheets all in this evening rather than tomorrow morning.

My beaver demo went well. I chose wisely. A nice fat XL beaver with no bites or scar tissue. Easy skinner.

Does there seem to be fewer buyers as well? Thanks for the update.

My new cell phone takes too high definition pics and the don’t seem to load on here. Once I get home I’ll see if the other puter can downsize them.

Kind of seems like less but I didn’t pay close attention . George Kortum is there. One of the buyers said it wouldn’t take him long to get his bid sheets in. Guess that meant he didn’t intend to bid on much.
I have a feeling that folks that didn’t bother putting minimums on their stuff will be regretting the oversight in some instances.
I’m prepared to take fur home if it didn’t hit mine. There’s more sales in the future.

Bids have been posted. Some of the buyers have paid and left with their goods.

That's how I have to do mine. It'll let me screenshot a picture and post it here, but not directly from my gallery
