Just saw a thing on you tube on them. Anyone use them? whaddya think?
They are a foam bed for your trap. Then you bed the whole thing. Supposed to stop traps from freezing down.

seems like a good idea for areas that get froze and stays froze. freeze/thaw would be a nightmare

If it stays frozen your traps won't freeze in. That's why most of mine are painted white, so they don't catch sunlight and melt themselves in

I clipped that out of the video they posted....

As soon as they said they switched the chain out for cable, I knew it wasn't a good idea.

Looks like another pricey gimmick to me. I watched a few minutes of a youtube video. Said it was reusable. I bet not after coyote or coon catches. Dry dirt, peat moss, salt, calcium chloride, wax paper, Propylene Glycol, lots of ways to keep a trap working without wax dirt.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Wax paper hasn't let me down (unless the conditions just wouldn't allow a foothold to stay working). When the spring time freeze/thaw sets in, snares are the only way to keep going. You don't have to be a master snareman either, the sun shines on the back of a donkey now and again, so set lots of them and hope you're lucky. That's my method anyhow
