Has anyone else seen Canadian commercials on almost every commercial break today on regular TV, YouTube, Amazon Prime and even on Facebook. It's got to be costing Canada a fortune. Canada's going to go broke if they keep this up.
Interesting. America will be put first for the next four years. I do see why these countries are getting nervous, but they might have to play even in the future to get tariffs lifted. There has to be a tradeoff someplace and we need to be treated equal and no more being second like we have been.
Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime
I remember in the mid 80's buying tomatoes and cucumbers ( English ones ) and resell them as a second job! The green houses are now nothing but flowers! Huge complexes of green houses. Did a search on local producers of vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers. The search turned up saying cucumbers are now grown in Canada, cheaper natural gas prices there. It could be different now but don't believe with this past administration , natural gas is cheaper now than back then here. Oh yeah there's some changes going to happen soon!
Not a chance in Hades will that occur. We will renegotiate trade with other countries and pull up our socks in the meantime. No biggie. The only thing I bought in the last 10 years or more that was made in America was a truck made in tennessee or kentucky or some place like that. Probably be the last thing going forward too. Retaliatory tarriffs wont hurt you as much as your tarriffs will hurt us but they will be put in place.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I'm guessing we will enter into a special relationship with Canada soon, that the tariffs will never be applied and then we will merge within 10 years. It won't be an immediate process, but it will happen.
It's part of the art of the deal.

What we need is someone to talk with the US maybe, instead of running around like headless chickens? We’re stuck with the Libs trying to figure out what’s going on. Didn’t go well for Chrysta Freeland yesterday, they coulda used more security…..lol

I will say that our leadership recently has been a disaster. Our politicians are just plain gross human beings. From paying convicted terrorists millions of dollars, to inviting a nazi to parliament hill and then praising and cheering him as a hero. Yes that happened. Canada is not what it used to be. Trump isn’t just blowing smoke with the 51st state talk, I can see it happening over a period of time. I guess we shall see.

Makes sense to me. Canada on its own isn’t really much of a country, has almost zero influence on global matters. As part of the US though the potential is huge. Win win as they say.

What would happen to PPCLI? Honest question. I always wondered what would happen to our forces in Quebec if they would’ve split. The people are Canadian, the hardware is Canadas. Sell it to the new country and they can fill the seats themselves?
