I'll get it started. I turned 4 coyotes I fleshed yesterday, fleshed and boarded 52 muskrats, fleshed and boarded 11 raccoons and 4 skunks, and turned 2 badgers.

Checked my little coyote line. Hoping this cold gets them moving.

Wore my otter/beaver tail bill hat since it was cold enough.

Checked three beaver/nutria sets, and caught nothing. I think I caught all the beavers at this site.

I read. Old NTA trapping handbook which I never tire of. Trying to keep my mind off my dog who is doing badly today. Waiting on a shipment of Piroxicam to see if that doesn’t help her more than the steroid but our time together is running out

I frostscraped 8 beaver this morning.
Conditions are great,only took about 10 minutes,and it was cold enough that I never had to touch up the scraper between pelts.
I finished 6 of the 8 tonight and boarded 8 more to put out to scrape tomorrow..

Checked a couple sets and a few snares I have out for transient coyotes, worked on a model airplane in my fur shed instead of putting coyotes up. Didn't freeze to death while checking sets or feeding the birds.

Boarded two fisher and the last of my coyotes. Local CO stopped by and I showed him how to skin, flesh and board a weasel, a mink and a nice otter he recently caught. He's very interested in trapping and think he will be a great asset for the MTA. Checked my short line and picked up a nice fox in a coyote snare. After getting him on a board, spent the rest of the afternoon sorting, cleaning and repairing traps from my trip down to Kansas. Got a good start on the clean up but have a ways to go. Will probably be in the shop again tomorrow.

Sold some RBG’s.

Set out ten beaver carcasses to attract in cats and civets. Cut a pickup load of firewood for the heating stove while I was out there.

Been trying to get coyote permissions this week, but no luck. I never did get any coyote permissions this season, and I tried and tried and tried. It's so frustrating.

Checked the few traps I still have set and then fleshed and boarded a couple fox.
