Anyone prefer Canadian whiskey besides me? Bourbon is too bold. Canadian seems more smooth.

I used to like MacNaughton but it is not available where I now live. Canadian Club has been my favorite. Just noticed that Seagram’s VO is now cheaper than CC. It is lighter in color so my drinks look milder. I mix with water.

Which o our Canadian members prefer?

I'm not a whisky drinker, but just a question; isn't "Canadian" whisky just any blended whisky, not necessarily whisky made in Canada?

"Canadian whiskey" is not Canadian if it is spelled with an "e" in Whiskey . . . it's Whisky . . . Canadians . . . what can you say . . . Eh?

I’m a CC fan. Regular for every day utility whiskey and 12 year old for special occasions. Gotta get creative to come up with a special occasion once or twice a week. wink

Only the Irish, Scots, and Hillbillies make good whiskey!

Windsor is my "Utility" whiskey. I like most Canadian whisky and have several favorites as good "Driving Whisky".

I have nothing clever to put here.

Canadian whisky is kinda like drinking light beer...no flavor.

I much prefer bourbon, but whatever floats your boat.

Windsor changed their recipe to be smoother. Uh

Yes, the recipe for Windsor Canadian Whisky has changed since Prestige Beverage Group acquired the brand in 2020. [/quote]

I started with Windsor in the early 90's and then switched to Tequila. By the time I switched back to Windsor around 2000 my taste buds were likely gone anyway.

I thought Seagram 7 was the mainstay way back. I have come to the realization that Crown Royal set a new standard!
Thank you Canada!

You see, we have a lot in common!

Bourbans too sweet and scotch taste like pine sol. CC water for me. Need to try the reserve sometime. I dont mind a rye though. Ive had the “bootlegged” Templeton before and liked it. Seemed to have a little extra snort too.

My go to is GIBSON’s finest. Smooth, flavorful and not as sweet as some Canadian whiskies.
