looks good

I have stock on , thinking chili tonight , probably chicken and beef I have some chicken thighs I butchered up for fajitas last night , bones & skin went in the stock pot I have a about a pound and a half diced up chicken and some left over beef from Sunday night.

definitely a pot that can be kept hot and ready to eat for fowl weather.

X2 on the salt, a spoonful of whatsthishere sauce can help wake it up, I like to make a peanut butter colored roux to finish stews for flavor and to thicken it up, thin stew is just soup.... crazy

Rutabagas rock, I use them in place of potatos all the time. I make a diced, roasted rutabaga dish that the family goes nuts for.

Eh...wot?

in Miss you could probably start Rutabaga about Halloween and harvest about Valentines day they like 50-65 degree days for growing to maturity

run some tillage root at the same time and shoot the hogs that come in to root at them.

got to have rutabaga in a pasty potatoes won't cut it

and there is only 12g carbs in a cup of cubed rutabaga where potatoes are more like 35g

they hold up better keep shape without going to mush but have a nice buttery flavor.

most of the time in the store you find them dipped in wax they will keep a long time like that , you just use a vegetable peeler to peal the wax and skin off and then cube or how ever you like to cut them
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rutabaga

ok how about Chard , do yall use chard down there

stuff would grown year round in Miss , and be an excellent ground cover , keep cutting and eating all winter , they don't mind a couple inches of snow they spring right back when it melts.
