Keep cabinet doors open where there are water lines. Keep a drizzle of water running. Will help keep pipes from freezing

When someone uses children without an education yet to advance an argument. You can bet the argument is based on pure emotions. Greta will probably go to a public state school and be awarded a doctorate in science her first year. Kind of like Obama getting the Nobel prize his first few months in office for the good he "will do in the future".

My wife just told me, the kids in or area are going to the overpass! They are using pool floats and some have sleds.

I would concentrate on wrapping the hose bibs up with a towel or burlap, three or four layers. Those are where your hose goes into your house. Wrap up the metal on the outside of the house. Your hose bibs are probably not made for cold temps and will freeze pretty fast. The goal is to insulate the metal. Take the hose OFF! Drain the hose and leave it on the garage floor.

Keep all the inside doors open, cabinets open, drip the faucets, change the forced air filter (probably working very hard right now). Headlamps, flashlights, charge the electronics, put the cars in the garage.

Check on the neighbors. Just some of the normal stuff to do, in case you have never done it before. Outside hose bib is first priority. If the hose is attached, it will help freeze your pipes. Unhook the hose.

That looks like a heavy frost here in the fall.

Talked to an old buddy today that lives near New Orleans. He said there are neighborhood kids that have never seen snow, and are having a blast playing in it. They are trying to find stuff to use for sleds, because of course there are none down there. And of course they're feet are cold and wet because nobody has snow boots. Probably a once in a lifetime event.

Yep! Some people go on vacation to go snow skiing and sledding, so they have some stuff. But, we don’t, so we do the best we can!
