Y'all snowed in James?

I to was wondering what you considered normal and subtle on a remake. Come to find out, you do the exact same thing I do! There is almost always droppings scattered around the catch circle, I will gather them up and place them as the attractant, sometimes add a shot of urine, or occasionally a dab of gland lure, but usually just the droppings, the scent of the catch circle gets them to the area and the droppings zeros them in to step on the pan.

So, is the dropping essentially becoming the attractant for the set? The trap is placed in front of the dropping? I use them on remakes but keep the original set (dirt hole, flat, whatever) and place the dropping to the side of the trap for foot placement.

But if traps are bedded solidly, shouldn’t chances of being dug up be just as low as the original set? Not being argumentative, just trying to understand your methods and reasons for doing what you do……
