I’m wondering if any of you guys are from SE MO area. I’m moving there soon, (few months) and somewhat familiar with the area, but don’t know anyone that lives there. Originally from southern IL, I’m moving from Fairbanks, AK. Been in the army and am moving there to be closer to family and go to school. Was hoping someone might know a little about the area and could point me in the direction of good places to hunt/fish/trap, a good church, or anything else I might just want to know before I get there. Im open to invitations if anyone needs a fishing partner! Thank you, God bless.

Mingo Swamp. Current River, St. Francis River Contact the Mo Dept of Conservation for info, and there's a fair amount of Mark Twain National Forest land with some super great streams.
Get an official state road map, it will show a lot of places to go.
Each county has a road map with most of the great places marked and how to get there.
The state Conservation Dept. has area maps for all; their lands that show items of interest, and how to get there.
The Geodetic Survey has Topographical maps with very detailed info on them.

You have the mighty Mississippi as well. Don't know much down there sorry can't help. Have a buddy use to be on here down from that areas pistol49 I believe is his user name, just not sure how much ole George gets on here anymore.
