Can a sitting president arrest a governor for blocking federal law??
I know the president can’t fire a governor,,, but a state of emergency has been declared regarding border and immigration issues…

Presidential powers don't allow the arresting of anyone, really. The power to issue arrest orders is supposed to lie with congress iirc but it's all a bit muddy, especially the last ten years or so.

The agency effected by this blocking of federal law by a governor would have to approach the United States Attorney's Office for the applicable jurisdiction and present their evidence. If the US Attorney felt, there was sufficient evidence they could seek and arrest warrant from a judge or present it to a grand jury for indictment. Technically an agent for the effected agency could make a probable cause arrest but that is not going to happen. Realistically how this will be dealt with if it is, is the governor in question will be threatened with the withholding of federal moneys from his or her state until they fall in line.

Seems like they could charge them with assistance to terrorists Threat to the United States ect.. Pick them up and seend them to holding with the other terrorists. Lots of legal issues and rights went out the window with the patriot act And labeled terrorists and national security threats Drug dealers illegals and those helping them could face some bad situations.

If you were harboring a criminal and interfered with the arrest you would be arrested why should a governor be above the law hiding/harboring illegal people.

The Attorney General can arrest governors based on violations of the US Constitution and by Congressional Orders. Pam Bondi, our likely next AG who was chosen by President Trump, could be ordered by President Trump to look for violations of our Constitution, by a governor and then arrest them if they did indeed violate it.

I don't think its a crime to refuse to help any L.E. Its only a crime if you interfere with them. Immigration laws are all federal so I doubt the state requires him to provide assistance. there are several states refusing to assist the ATF to enforce federal gun law. The feds will still arrest violator's.
